Flourite Porous Clay Gravel is a specially fractured, stable substrate engineered specifically for the natural planted aquarium. Designed to support healthy root development and long-term plant growth, Flourite delivers both performance and visual appeal, while remaining suitable for virtually any freshwater aquarium environment.

Most effective when used alone as a complete substrate bed, Flourite can also be blended with other aquarium gravels to achieve custom aquascaping results. Unlike many competing planted substrates, gravel modifiers such as laterite are not required—and Flourite never needs to be replaced. It remains effective for the life of the aquarium, making it a cost-efficient, long-term solution for planted tank enthusiasts.

Flourite® is not chemically coated or treated and will not alter water pH, helping maintain stable water chemistry for fish, shrimp, and aquatic plants.

Although pre-washed for convenience, a light rinse before use may help remove residual dust. To minimize cloudiness during setup, fill the aquarium slowly and disperse water gently to avoid disturbing the substrate bed. Slight initial cloudiness is normal and typically clears within 2–12 hours. For faster water clarification, use Clarity alongside mechanical filtration such as filter floss.
