Description
Cerith snails (Cerithium spp.) are small, marine gastropods known for their scavenging abilities and role in maintaining a healthy aquarium environment. They are popular in reef tanks for their effectiveness in cleaning algae, detritus, and uneaten food from the substrate and glass. They are also known for burrowing into the sand bed, which helps to aerate it and prevent the buildup of harmful materials.
