Description

Lighting
Intensity: Provide low to moderate lighting. The recommended PAR range is 50-150, but some may tolerate higher or lower depending on the specific coral and other tank conditions.
Effect of high light: Intense lighting can cause bleaching or stress, while too little will result in poor growth.

Water flow
Type: Aim for moderate, indirect flow. The tentacles should sway gently, not be violently whipped around.
Direct current: Avoid direct, high-velocity flow from powerheads, as this can cause tissue damage and stress.

Placement and compatibility
Placement: Place the coral on a rock in the middle to lower part of the tank, ensuring it has enough space around it.
Space: Leave several inches of space between frogspawn and other corals because they can extend sweeper tentacles at night that can sting nearby corals.

Water parameters and maintenance
Parameters: Maintain stable water chemistry with adequate calcium and alkalinity levels. While they are forgiving, better water quality leads to better health and color.
Water changes: Perform regular water changes to keep nutrient levels balanced.

Photosynthesis: Frogspawn corals get a good amount of energy from photosynthesis.
Supplementation: Target feeding with foods like microplankton, brine shrimp, or specific LPS pellets can improve growth and coloration. Feeding is not required for survival but is beneficial.
