Tliltocatl Albopilosus (Curly Hair) 8-10cm Large Juvenile - Image is for illustration purposes only!

Housing
- Enclosure: A large juvenile Tliltocatl albopilosus requires an enclosure that allows for both burrowing and comfortable movement. A 10-gallon terrarium is adequate for this size, providing enough space for substrate and decorations.
- Substrate: Use a mix of coconut fiber, peat moss, and a bit of vermiculite to retain moisture. The substrate should be at least 4-6 inches deep to allow for burrowing.
- Humidity: Maintain humidity levels around 65-75%. This can be achieved by misting the enclosure every few days, depending on the ambient humidity. However, ensure good ventilation to prevent mold growth.
- Temperature: The ideal temperature range is between 24-28°C (75-82°F). Use a heat mat on one side of the enclosure if necessary, to create a temperature gradient, allowing your tarantula to choose its preferred temperature.

Feeding
- Diet: Feed your large juvenile Curly Hair Tarantula appropriately sized crickets, roaches, or mealworms 2-3 times a week. The size of the prey should be comparable to the size of the tarantula's abdomen.
- Water: Always provide a shallow water dish with fresh water. Make sure the dish is shallow enough to prevent drowning.

General Care
- Handling: Tliltocatl albopilosus is known for its docile nature, making it one of the more handleable tarantula species. However, handling should be kept to a minimum to avoid stress and potential falls that could harm the tarantula.
- Molting: Your tarantula will periodically molt as it grows. During this time, it may refuse food and become more reclusive. Increase humidity slightly during molting periods and refrain from feeding until a couple of days after the molt is complete, to allow the new exoskeleton to harden.
- Decoration: Provide hiding spots such as cork bark or half a flower pot. These decorations not only make the enclosure more aesthetically pleasing but also provide your tarantula with a sense of security.

Social Needs
- Tliltocatl albopilosus is a solitary species. It should be housed alone to prevent any stress or aggression that can arise from cohabitation.
