Description
Sphodromantis viridis, or the Giant African Mantis, is a large mantis species, with females reaching up to 10 cm (3.9 in) long, and is characterized by bright green or dull brown coloration, a distinctive white spot on the wings, and a yellowish patch on the inner foreleg.
Native to West Africa, it is also found in Southern Spain and Israel, and is popular as a pet due to its size, hardiness, and varied diet of insects and other small prey
