Tanimbar Island Blue-Tongue Skink (Tiliqua scincoides chimaera)

Habitat and Enclosure:
1. Enclosure Size: A minimum of a 40-gallon tank for one adult skink, with a secure lid.
2. Temperature: Provide a temperature gradient with a basking area around 90-95°F and a cooler end around 75-80°F. Night temperatures can drop to around 70°F.
3. Humidity: Maintain moderate humidity levels, around 40-60%. Regular misting can help achieve this.
4. Substrate: Use a substrate that allows for burrowing, like aspen shavings, coconut fibre, or a soil mix.
5. Environmental Enrichment: Include hiding spots, a shallow water dish, and items for climbing and exploring.

1. Diet: They are omnivores. Feed a mix of protein (insects, boiled eggs, lean meats) and vegetables (leafy greens, carrots, squash).
2. Supplements: Dust food with calcium and vitamin D3 supplements, especially for growing skinks.
3. Feeding Frequency: Feed adults 3-4 times a week, and juveniles daily or every other day.

Ensure a varied diet to prevent nutritional deficiencies.
