Description
Fluorine is a micro element present in reefs all around the world at an average concentration of 1.3 mg/l. Fluorine has a general function of hardening bio-minerals, thus playing an important role in the coral calcification process.
Fluorine also plays a role in zooxanthellae regulation as it has a moderate tissue activity therefore, carefully dosing Fluorine can lead to Acropora tissue clearing and a substantial rise of yellow and green fluorescences under actinic light
Fluorine Zlement used in conjunction with a regular testing procedure, allows any reefer to make corrections to Iodine levels ensuring the levels in their tank water stay within the best range for their friends.
10 ml of Fluorine Zlement increases the Fluorine concentration of 100 litres by 0.2 mg/l
IMPORTANT NOTE: Fluorine dosing in high doses is toxic and capable of making the corals expel their zooxanthellae. It is also capable of irreversibly inhibit photosynthetic enzymes. Do not overdose and ensure adequate levels by regularly testing.
