The fine texture of these beech chips makes them perfect for creating a comfortable habitat. They should be spread evenly over the bottom of the enclosure to a depth of 1-2in and spot-cleaned daily for optimal hygiene. It's important to fully replace the substrate every two or three weeks, or more frequently if it becomes heavily soiled or wet.
