Very rare first seen for a long time!
Endemic to Western Australia. Known from the Exmouth region and Dampier Archipelago. Occurs on shallow reefs with mixed coralline algae and rubble substrate. Juveniles appear black with yellow over the back, but have thin white lines. Females are brilliant blue and yellow. Males have thick blue streaks on the caudal fin. A large species, reported to 28cm
