Griffis Angel - Known from central Pacific islands such as the Marshall and Line Islands (Kiribati) westward to the Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.This species occurs mainly on deep outer-reef walls at depths over 40m (10-60m). Not often seen usually solitary. Identified by the generally grey colour and a distinct white stripe along the base of the dorsal fin that continues into the caudal-fin base, making a real contrast to the black back. Length to 25cm.
